Twitter Power: Tweeting To Make Your Business Sing!

Sure, everyone has heard of Twitter, although some of you may not understand the power of tweeting.

Tweeting (sending out 140 character-or-less messages on Twitter) can really help a business brand itself.

After setting up a Twitter account (it's free), it is important that you use brief and to the point messaging when you tweet. Customers who are following you will receive a message on their Twitter page (think in terms of offering a sale, or discount services and how many potential customers you can reach at the touch of a button).

Tweeting tips:

  • Keep tweets short and sweet
  • Add value to your customer group, offering up what they want instead of what you want. The key of Tweeting is to get your followers engaged - thinking and talking about you or your business.
  • Write regularly (once per day is enough)- updating your comments is important and will help your follower base grow, but don't write more than that or you will over-tweet and annoy your customer base.
  • Sign up for automatic email (Twitter will remind you that you've not posted in 24 hours).
  • Be consistent and always think in terms of what your customer needs or wants.
More on Twitter to come!
